Welcome to Sanderstead Skip Hire. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By hiring a skip from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the meanings assigned to them below:

- Customer: The individual or entity hiring the skip.
- Skip: The container provided for waste disposal.
2. Services
Sanderstead Skip Hire offers a range of skip sizes suitable for various waste disposal needs. Our services include delivery and collection of skips at the agreed-upon location and time.
2.1 Skip Sizes
- Mini Skips (2-3 cubic yards)
- Midi Skips (4-5 cubic yards)
- Builder's Skips (6-8 cubic yards)
- Roll-On Roll-Off Skips (10 cubic yards)
2.2 Delivery and Collection
We schedule delivery and collection based on availability. Customers must ensure that the site is accessible and free from obstructions at the agreed times.
3. Booking and Payment
To hire a skip, customers must complete our booking process online or via phone. A deposit may be required, and full payment is due upon delivery.
3.1 Payment Methods

- Bank Transfers
- Cash (where applicable)
3.2 Payment Terms
All payments must be made in full before the skip is delivered. Failure to make timely payments may result in additional charges or cancellation of the booking.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee.
4.1 Refund Process
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of cancellation. They will be issued using the original payment method.
5. Delivery and Collection
Our team is responsible for the safe delivery and collection of skips. Customers must ensure that the placement area is suitable and that any necessary permissions have been obtained.
5.1 Site Requirements
- Flat, stable ground
- Clear access for delivery vehicle
- No underground services in the placement area
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Ensuring safe and legal placement of the skip
- Not overloading the skip beyond its capacity
- Ensuring prohibited items are not disposed of in the skip
7. Prohibited Items
The following items cannot be disposed of in our skips:
- Chemical waste
- Asbestos
- Medical waste
- Batteries
- Explosives
7.1 Hazardous Materials
Disposing of hazardous materials is illegal and punishable by law. Customers must ensure that no prohibited items are placed in the skip.
8. Liability
Sanderstead Skip Hire is not liable for any damage or loss that occurs due to improper placement or overloading of the skip by the customer.
8.1 Damage During Delivery
Customers must inspect the skip upon delivery. Any pre-existing damage must be reported immediately. We are not responsible for damages reported after skip placement.
9. Insurance
We carry comprehensive insurance to cover accidental damage during delivery and collection. However, customers are advised to have their own insurance for any additional coverage.
9.1 Customer Insurance
For large projects, customers may require additional insurance. This can be arranged through our customer service team upon request.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Amendments
Sanderstead Skip Hire reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes via email or our website.
11.1 Notification of Changes
Updates to the Terms and Conditions will be posted on our website. It is the customer's responsibility to review them regularly.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate a booking if the customer fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. In such cases, the customer may forfeit any deposits or payments made.
12.1 Breach of Terms
A breach includes, but is not limited to, overloading the skip, using it for prohibited items, or causing damage during placement.
13. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy to provide and improve our services.
13.1 Data Protection
We ensure that all personal data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
14. Force Majeure
Sanderstead Skip Hire is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
14.1 Notification
In the event of a force majeure, we will notify the customer as soon as possible and work to reschedule the service.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15.1 Continuation of Terms
The invalidity of one provision does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Sanderstead Skip Hire regarding the use of our services, superseding all prior agreements and understandings.
16.1 Amendments to the Agreement
No amendment or modification of these Terms and Conditions will be binding unless made in writing and signed by both parties.
